Attendance: Nooka announced 19 members in attendance this week, one sort of a quorum for the AGM. Good work Nooka. Of course we had 23 members present and were able to proceed with the AGM. We had one guest, prospective member Bruce Anson.
Meal: The punters had backed carbonara into favourite this week, but it was chicken schnitzel that hit the ball into the back of the net.
We stole the lectern from Warrnambool RC, Jon got his jacket from Ritchie Benaud.
Jon Vertigan subbed in a Sarg this week in the absence of Gracey and DJ. Jon kicked off with an excellent dog joke before passing the ball to Bono. Bono made a hard run down the wing before slipping one past the hapless Turkish goalkeeper by getting a quorum for the AGM. In other news Brendan extended an invitation for members to attend a weekly social catch up with other Rotarians at 5.30 each Thursday at the Midcity Motel. Brendan also reminded members to rsvp for the changeover dinner in the Stack App.
In reports;
- Bob reminded members to pay Nooka for their two raffle books. The raffle will be drawn next week.
- Nooka advised that T-bone had tipped well in a very difficult week to get back to the top of the tipping. Trev has 84 winners, with Rob on 83, Garry on 82, Dillo and Sam on 81, and Bullant, Robbo and Marlo on 80.
Malcolm conducted our Annual General Meeting (see below).
Jon puts us all to shame by producing a professional logo for his road trip.
Jon then presented to us his vlog from his recent van trip up the East coast of Australia. Jon and Kelli hired a FIAT campervan and drove it through Gippsland and up the South coast of NSW. The van broke down in Batemans Bay, which was a surprise. You just don't expect a FIAT to get all the way to Batemans Bay before breaking down. The Vertigan's were able to bring on a substitute van before reaching the Central Coast. The vlog was very entertaining and of very high quality. Thank you Jon.
Unfortunately, our time management recently has been very poor and Nooka's fines session was postponed for the third week in a row. Come on people. Nooka is the Nestory Irankunda of Warrnambool Central; we just need to get the ball to him and let him do his thing.
A visibly relieved President Bono 'thanked God' we had a quorum for the AGM and thanked members for their attendance.
