We are currently facing an unprecedented public health and economic crisis.  The public health crisis will come first and the economic one will follow.  The Rotary Club of Warrnambool Central has the following priorities during this crises;

1. Concern for the health and welfare of club members and their families.

2. Concern for the health and welfare of members of our Warrnambool and District Community, especially those people who will be particularly vulnerable from a health or financial point of view during this crisis.

 

We acknowledge that this crisis will last many weeks or even months, and things will get worse before they get better.

 

We are taking the following actions at the present moment to protect the health of our members;

 

1. Cancelling club meetings for the foreseeable future.  Events will tell us when the time is right to resume meetings.

 

2. Cancelling all other proposed social and fundraising events, including regrettably our Annual Charity Auction.

 

3. The club will continue to function and look for ways to help members and help our community.  As much of this work as possible will be conducted electronically rather than through face to face meetings.  Will keep members regularly updated with what is going on.

 

4. We encourage all members to carefully study the Federal Governments public health advice, and to follow this advice meticulously.  This is not the time for carelessness.  We will endeavour to keep you informed of any changes to this advice.

 

5. We encourage all members to keep in contact with us and with each other.  We all face an extended period of isolation and anxiety.  We will face this difficult period alone, but also together.  You might be alone, but we will still be together.  Talk to us or your fellow club members about any problems you are having.  We will get through this together.
