Joey’s Report Remember to add Joey to any outings or events that you are involved with if you have space. Joey has had a busy holiday so far and has been surfing (a lot), snorkelling at Stingray Bay. He spent New Years with Duncan in Melbourne and going to the orchestra. Did lots of sightseeing. Spent 10 days in QLD with George and his fiancé at Fraser Island and Noosa. He went kayaking and saw turtles and lots of fish and woke to a kangaroo face on just 1m from his tent. Went to Australia zoo and saw the croc show. Also saw dolphins. Did a Segway tour of Brisbane at 30 kph and did a 300m zipline in the Hinterland. He spent Christmas eve with the Fiedler family (Yann is a Rotary exchange student from Warrnambool going to Germany this year) and then spent Christmas Day with Trevor and Leanne and family. Joey has joined with all the other district exchange students for the Mini Safari. So far they have been to Portland and done water skiing and have visited Port Fairy and Griffiths Island. Program - Exchange Students Steve did a panel with all the visiting exchange students, asking them many questions about their experiences so far on their exchange. They have all had some great new adventures and are looking forward to their main Safari through the Centre of Australia. David Brown Port Fairy Folk festival – we will again be providing volunteer Usher service to Tent 1 on the 6 – 8 March. All volunteers that complete 2 x 5 hour shifts will be provided with a weekend pass. This voluntary work brings in $5,000 for the club. David will distribute a roster in the coming weeks. Let him know if you are able to assist. David’s Quote for the week – In every success story you will find someone who has made a courageous decision.
