In her first District newsletter, DG Kathy suggested this: It is up to us to sell the sizzle of Rotary, not the sausage. No one buys a sausage from us because of the look of the sausage – they buy because of the smell of the onions. So now let’s make Rotary membership the onion on our sausage…sell the positives of being a Rotarian and the difference that we can make. Ref: D9780 Dist Newsletter July 2022. So, we have the onions because we are involved with environmental projects, garden expo, memorial for early pregnancy loss, Father of the Year promotion, Days for Girls, PNG Water and education projects, Showgrounds Mural, Defy the Drift project, Science and Engineering Challenge to name a few. If we tell people about these things, maybe they just might like to help us. On Tuesday evening, we welcomed Leon de Villiers back to the club after some time away with work commitments. We look forward to Leon’s involvement once again and welcome back Leon. Brian Membership Director |
