President's Message

A big thank you for Frank Monger for coming along on Tuesday night to take our club photo and enjoying a meal with us. We had the pleasure of Andrew Jeffers from Wannon Water as our quest speaker. Andrew gave us an update on projects internationally and locally. Andrew said they have changed the way they do things with international Aide and thanked our very own Tony Austin for doing that with all the work he has been doing in Papua New Guinea, and we all agree on the great
work Tony does. Wannon Water is currently doing an upgrade on the Warrnambool treatment plant to make it safer, the upgrade on Warrnambool sewerage is going well and currently working on the quality water in Port Fairy, Heywood and Portland areas. It was a great insight to know what Wannon Water is doing.

It was great to see Maria come along for the night and give us an update all the things she has been doing. George sent through a photo of Maria holding a python she is a lot braver than me. I can’t even look at one.

It was also great to see John Harris and Trish back at the club as well.

We all wish Margaret Ross a Happy Birthday who turned 90 this week

CANINE LIFE RULES

If dogs could teach us, we would learn things such as:

- when loved ones come home, always run to greet them
- never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride
- allow the experience of fresh air and wind in your face to be pure ecstasy
- let others know when they have invaded your territory
- take naps and stretch before rising
- run, romp and play daily
- thrive on attention
- avoid biting, when a simple growl will do
- on warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass
- on hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree
- when you are happy, dance and wag your entire body
- delight in the simple joy of a long walk
- eat with gusto and enthusiasm
- stop when you have had enough
- be loyal
- never pretend to be something you are not
- if what you want lies buried, dig until you find it
- when someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently

Applying the above lessons to your life should make it a little less RUFF!
