Report from Joey:
Over the past week Joey has been very busy. Some of his highlights were canoeing on the Hopkins River with school, Going to the School Formal, Cooking Brownies, Playing his violin in the Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra and playing tennis.
Induction:
Tonight President David Brown Inducted both Ricky and Mary Tuck into our Club. They come with a strong connection to Rotary having served previously at the Rotary Club of Smithston in Tasmania. We look forward to their contribution to our Club and Rotary International. We will learn more about Ricky and Mary and their journey over the coming weeks as they get involved in the various aspect of the Rotary Club of Warrnambool.

Brian:
1 – Last Wednesday President David and Brian met the two recipients of the Rotary foundation Scholarship at Deakin University. Both were studying Nursing / Midwifery and Brian shared some of the struggles these students were facing and how the scholarship has made a significant difference to their learning opportunities.
2 – Rotary Foundation – Centurion Towers. There are plenty of spare towers and we encourage you all to fill a tower every year thus making a $100 donation to the Rotary foundation.
3 – Dr John Oswald from Interplast (which provides free reconstructive surgery to children in need) is looking for a Warrnambool representative on the committee. Please see Brian if you are interested.

90th Birthday reminder – Please make a commitment to our 90th Birthday celebrations on Sat 23rd Nov. Payments can easily be made at our dinner meeting using the EFTPOS machine. Please give Terry your name if you intend on coming – and how many guests – so we can get an idea of numbers.
Glenn:
1- Has made an offer for anyone who would like a coffee they are available from his place for $2 anytime he is home. The money will be donated to the Rotary Foundation.
2 – Supporting Steve and Louise with interactions with Joey. Please consider including Joey in dinner or any other activities you might be involved in that he can join in with. Glenn is riding the Port Fairy Rail Trail with Joey on Monday September 23rd. All Rotarians and friends are welcome to join them for the ride.

Warrnambool Footy Club would like us to sell raffle tickets at the gates for the Grand Final on Saturday 21st. 8 volunteers required to cover 4 shifts. Thank you to those who raised their hand.
