President's Message

Tuesday night our quest speaker for the night was Doug Haezlewood and we got to hear all Doug’s experiences with Anzac Day. Doug had some great stories to tell us, it was very interesting and thank you Doug for coming along and sharing a meal with us. Anzac Day is such a significant day, it’s a day to remember and honour all those who have served our nation, both in times of peace and war and all the sacrifices
they made. We will be forever grateful.

Congratulations to Trish Canty who was inducted into our club, we all look forward to getting to know you and being part of this amazing club.

On Wednesday night Robbie organised a social night, it was a trivia night run by the bowls club. I headed along and had a fantastic night; it was a take on family feud and although we didn’t win the over all prize we did win drinks for the table. Thankyou to Sharon Kenny and Greg Lee for coming along and supporting Robbie’s social night and a big thank you to Robbie it was a wonderful night and everyone enjoyed
themselves.

THE BEATITUDES
Blest are those who pay as much attention to the interests and concerns of others as to their own: they shall foster peace and unity.
Blest are those who take the first step to meet others: they shall discover that the other is much more open than it seemed.
Blest are those who never lose patience: they shall always find a new beginning.
Blest are those who first listen and only then speak: they shall be listened to.
Blest are those who, in discussions, always discover first what is right in the contributions of others: they shall be able to integrate and mediate.
Blest are those who never use their positions egotistically: they shall be met with respect. Blest are those who never offend or disappoint: they shall create a good climate.

Reports for the Changeover Annual Report
Rotarians I have been tasked with getting reports together for our Changeover annual
report. The Changeover being 24 June.
The following is a list of office bearer’s, service areas, activities and the people who
“champion” them.
There may be others that I have missed. If so please let me know.
If you are an office bearer, or “responsible” for a project, fund raiser or activity can you
provide an overview suitable to be included in the annual report please.
To facilitate the compilation of the report easier and for consistency of appearance
please use the Arial Font at font size 11 point and do not include any complex formatting.
Where appropriate please provide one or a small number of images in .jpg format.
These will greatly enhance the appearance of your report.
To have the report ready for the Changeover I need everything finalised, at the latest, 6
June (approximately 2 weeks prior). I will also send reminders prior to that.
