This Tuesday saw another fantastic meeting. As a club, we are starting to get quite busy with many events on the calendar. Make sure to check what is coming up and see if you can get involved. The board members have also put a call out for ideas towards the Christmas break-up event.
This week we welcomed back Chris from his long trip. We look forward to hearing the many stories Chris!
We have also had a very heavy week with the passing of Josh and Chantal; Janet and Greg's respective children.

Jim is also back in hospital, so it would be great to see if some Rotarians can visit him.
This week Sophie from the Wunta festival was our guest speaker. It is great to see so much energy and passion still around for this festival which started in 1985. The aim is to start small and build the motivation up every year in the hopes to get it back into its original format. In February 2025, we will see the festival return on Liebig street. Sophie is looking for volunteers to help setting up and at the entry point taking a coin donation. If you are interested, get in touch with Judy who can pass on Sophie's contact details. I look forward to seeing the success this brings.

Empty Medicine Blister Packets
Robbie will be collecting empty medicine packets to be recycled. You can also drop them off at one of the participating Pharmacies as a part of our environmental project (Ask Graham about locations).

Ann will happily take your plastic bottle tops. Please make sure they are washed and dried before you give them to her. They are sent to the lids for kids program in Mt Gambier.

RYLA 2025
will take place in the April 2025 school holidays. We are seeking participants to attend aged between 18-25 at the time of the camp. Applications will open around October. If you have anyone in mind, please contact Rachel.
Camp Quality Cabin
There is a lot of maintenance that needs to happen at the cabin in the next 12 months. If you would like to assist on this hands on project and join a small camp quality committee, please contact Rachel.

The Rotary Club of Warrnambool are fundraising towards our new projects involving Domestic and Family Violence. We would love for you to join us for a great night of fundraising.

Price: $40.00 this includes movie ticket, drink and popcorn and a ticket for the lucky door prize.
We will also have raffles on the night $2.00 a ticket or 3 for $5.00.
All proceeds will be going to domestic and family violence project.

Warrnambool Community Garden - Open Day
Celebrating 15 Years

About the event Our gates are open for everyone this spring - it’s all about community, music, laughing and gardening at this free event. Held on the lands of the Peek Whurrong and Maar Nations, celebrate the amazing transformation that’s happened in the last 15 years.
Beginning with a Welcome to Country, followed by live music featuring local musicians including Home Made Jam, Norman Miller, Bruce Campbell and the Common Ground plus the Warrnambool City Band there will be lot's to see.
There are plenty of free activities for the family, including the opening of the children’s garden and Sprouts Club area. We’ll be showcasing the renewed all abilities gardening area and nursery with plants for sale on the day.
A sizzling BBQ with meat and vegetarian options will look after healthy appetites. Pick up a map to explore points of interest including the quarry amphitheatre, herb garden, chooks, new shed, composting, worm farm and frog pond.
We’ll have displays from community organisations and a visual history of the near 20 years of the Warrnambool Community Garden. Have your cameras ready to take snaps and lodge an image or two in our photo competition.
We're also looking for some people to help volunteer on the day, bump in, for two-hour shifts and bump out. Volunteers get a free lunch, contact grow@wcg3280.org.au if you're interested.
