President's Welcome

Tuesday night we had a self-care night and had some hand knitting, Yoga and some relaxation. A big thankyou to Svet Lineham and Ann Donaldson for organising. We have had a lot going on over the last month and it was great to some down time. Life can sometimes be very overwhelming and it’s important to look after yourself and if you are struggling always reach out to someone you can talk too. Going for a walk, listening to music, gardening whatever you enjoy it’s really important to take care of
yourself. Always be kind as you don’t know what the other person is going through.

Roma Britnell and her partner Mark came along on Tuesday night and thanked everyone. Jim loved coming to Rotary and he will be deeply missed. Thank you to Ian Sharman who picked up Jim each week so he could continue coming to Rotary.

Thank you to everyone who helped out at our camp quality cabin. You all did an amazing job. I had other commitments on Saturday morning and went down at 1.00pm and no one was there, and it was basically finished. Rachel had a great turnout and thank you to Rachel and Tony for all the work you have put in to get our camp quality cabin looking amazing.

We are at that time of year and starting to look for a President Elect, if anyone is interested, please come and talk to me.

On the 15th of November Anne Adams is having a social night at her place. All members are welcome to attend and should be a great night.

Member announcements:
- Tony spoke about the camp quality cabin, and it has a new fridge and couch. Hammonds paints did an amazing job and painted the cabin free of charge and a big thank you to them. The deck has been sanded back and polished and Rachel is organising an appreciation night in November.
- Judy thanked everyone for donations and would like further donations and needs these donations latest Tuesday night.
- Anne Adams is needing helpers for the garden show and need help setting up and tidying up at the end of the day. If any one can help please see Anne.
