Weekly Message

This week saw RYLA participant Bethany Medwin Zoom call in to tell us about her experience at the program recently. It was clear she got a lot from this program and it is certainly credit to the RYLA team, including Rotarian Rachel. Bethany was sponsored by our club to attend the program. If you would like to know more about the program, please see Rachel.

This week celebrates National Volunteer Week, which aligns with many of our values. Thank you for the many hours you all have volunteered with our club, and the many other entites we help with.
You can read more about National Volunteer Week here: https://www.volunteeringaustralia.org/get-involved/nvw/national-volunteer-week-key-messages/

This coming week we welcome back Maria from her trip to WA. Maria will be giving us her initial presentation about herself and where she is from. We look forward to hearing from her.

THE ART OF MARRIAGE
A good marriage must be created.
In a marriage, the little things are big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once each day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right person —
IT IS BEING THE RIGHT PARTNER.
Walking Group on again!

Reports for the Changeover Annual Report
Rotarians I have been tasked with getting reports together for our Changeover annual
report. The Changeover being 24 June.
The following is a list of office bearer’s, service areas, activities and the people who
“champion” them.
There may be others that I have missed. If so please let me know.
If you are an office bearer, or “responsible” for a project, fund raiser or activity can you
provide an overview suitable to be included in the annual report please.
To facilitate the compilation of the report easier and for consistency of appearance
please use the Arial Font at font size 11 point and do not include any complex formatting.
Where appropriate please provide one or a small number of images in .jpg format.
These will greatly enhance the appearance of your report.
To have the report ready for the Changeover I need everything finalised, at the latest, 6
June (approximately 2 weeks prior). I will also send reminders prior to that.
