Its so good to be back in Warrnambool after the horrendous heat of Rockhampton QLD. I love the cold. On my first walk back down Leibig Street with a cool breeze blowing I had a huge grin on my face and several people commented on how happy I looked. Nothing like coming home is there.
Apologies for the late Bulletin. Life has got in the way this week more than usual.
Leon was Sargent and Keith McLeod did the invocation. We had apologies from David Brown who hopes to be back next week, Rachel Furnell going off on a cruise, Tony Austin delivering donations in kind to Geelong, and Greg Lee, Lola Lee and Ann Donaldson
There are still 3 vacant positions on the Rotary Regional Council including Treasurer, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and Corporate and Administrative lead. Applications close 30th January if anyone has the interest and time to fill these.
The Crossley night is planned for in February please check your Bulletin for details in a week. This will be with Port Fairy Rotary and is always a good night so come along, bring friends and if you need a ride give me a call. John Beks and Kelly Curran have worked you make this night happen.
Phillip Ross has modified the lectern to be better equipped to hold computers/ laptops making it more manageable for the presenters. Thank you Phillip for your excellent detailed work. This and John Reid’s work which I remember well inspires me to undertake my new hobby this year - wood work. I’m hoping to continue to attend Rotary with all limbs and fingers intact in the future. Phillip kindly gave us a demo of the
improved lecture.
A thank-you to John Beks for his input into the bulletin weekly and his suggestions for the program. Id ask that other members come forward with ideas too. As of next week we will have members present a few minutes on a Rotary topic prior to the main program. It is important that we keep ourselves up to date with the work done by Rotary and opportunities available around the world.
This weeks speaker is Levi Geebung who leads the Gunditjmara Men’s Group which is about creating a culturally safe environment where men can flourish.

1. John Beks on the Relay for Life. John requested our clubs involvement in the up coming event and this request will go to the board for consideration.
2. Judy Ross is looking for helpers to be marshals for the Melbourne to Warrnambool Bike Race next Saturday. More on this on Tuesday.
3. Robbie Blackmore advised members of a social get together at Woolsthorpe Pub 10 th Feb 2024.
Margaret Ross On the Couch. We are very thankful to Margaret who stepped up and filled in for Lola who could not attend. She hasn’t been well and is on the mend. She did try and turn the tables to interview John Hunt but we learned some interesting information about Margaret's life, love of horses and happy childhood. Thankyou Margaret.
Thank you to Judy Ross, Brooke McLeod, Ann Body, Keith McLeod, Brian and Jenny Trenery and Anne Adams worked today to fold brochures for the bike race today. Apparently this activity was enhanced with food and wine from Anne Adams.
