Tuesday night Dapinderjit was going to do a presentation and unfortunately was unwell. Hope Dapinderjit you’re on the road to recovery. Brooke saved the day and had special guests from NYSF. Well done to Bella Clifford, Calder Nicholson and Rachel Waterhouse who all spoke so well and were put on the spot while Brooke did a Q&A. It was great to hear from them and listen to all their aspirations. Well done, Brooke.

Environment Committee Hard at work!
Graeme has been in discussions this morning and last week with Stephen Ryan from the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority (GHCMA); Re: the four Rotary Clubs of Warrnambool conducting a combined tree planting working bee for the revegetation of the Bromfield Street weir area (now the weir has been removed).
The environment officers of the four clubs have been discussing this for the last five months:
The CMA has been holding off deciding on the planting due to the dry conditions but have now made the decision to go ahead with it on Saturday morning August 17
Stephen is suggesting a couple of hours on the Saturday
morning,
All the seedlings and materials are organised.
The CMA is happy for us to put up a Rotary sign on the site.
Central Rotary is offering a bbq lunch not sure if there will be a charge
That means I've given up alcohol for July to raise funds for people affected by cancer, who need our support now, more than ever.
I'd love you to support me and make a donation. By donating, you'll help provide invaluable services to cancer patients, their families and carers – whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs or a bed close to treatment.
Every donation will make a difference, even if it’s what you’d save on your daily coffee or commute. So head to https://www.dryjuly.com/users/leon-de-villiers and send any spare change my way!
Thanks in advance for your sponsorship!

Camp Quality Cabin
Each week we will feature a new message from the families who stay at the Camp Quality Cabin. This will also be echoed on facebook, so be sure to interact with them on social media :)
Wisecrack of the week
From John Beks
ONE DAY AT A TIME…
There are two days in every week about which we should no worry: two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is YESTERDAY, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed. We cannot erase a single word said. YESTERDAY IS GONE!
The other day we should not worry about it TOMORROW, with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control. Tomorrows sun will rise, whether in splendour or in a mask of clouds. But it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
This leaves TODAY… TODAY! Any person can fight the battles of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of two awful eternities – yesterday and tomorrow – that we break down.
It is not necessarily the experiences of TODAY that disturb ones peace of mind. It is oftentimes the remorse or bitterness for something which happened YESTERDAY and the dread of what TOMORROW may bring.
LET US THEREFORE LIVE ONE DAY AT A TIME.
GOD,
Grant me the serenity to accept
The things I cannot Change;
The courage to change the things I can;
And the wisdom
To know the difference.
Reminder about the Container Deposit Scheme raising money towards our Early loss memorial project.
If you are able to use the app, you will be able to find our cause under charities. If the app is being too difficult, you can use the barcode below. Simply scan the barcode at any of the return depots, then start inserting your bottles.
If technology is not your friend, feel free to drop bottles at Brooke and George's place which can be taken out to the depots (Kelp street).
