This Saturday is the last weekend of the footy gates for this year. Thank you to all members who withstood the cold & rain this year. Our Club made $3000 on this project.

Ron Rauert is in Mercy. If anyone wishes to visit him they are most welcome to. He is travelling well at the moment.

FOTY is next week. No Rotary meeting Tuesday 27 August.

FOTY Breakfast is Wednesday 28 August @ 7am City Memorial.

After the Breakfast Ian needs volunteers to return children’s entries to their schools.

Robbies Swindle

The Swindle went for $3.00 this week.

Our Rotary Club members have volunteered 57 Hours this week.

The Chair for tonight’s guest was Steve Giddens, introducing our Exchange student form Germany Johannes (Joey) Frantz.

Joey gave us an insight into a brief history of Germany and his home town Wurzburg in the Bavarian Region. The Rotary Club OF Wurzburg is his sponsor.

Joey is 16 years old. His mother -Tina is a biology & chemistry teacher. His father - Stefan is a cardiologist. He has 2 older sisters. Amelie lives in Frankfurt and is studying to be a dentist. Theresa lives in Berlin and is studying Law.  He has traveled a lot including Africa, Portugal & Italy.

Joey plays Tennis, Basketball and his favourite sport Skiing. He also plays the violin.

While in Australia he hopes to learn to surf and see lots of Australia and try new things.

President David wrapped up the night by thanking our guests for coming along tonight.
