This week was a busy week for our Rotary Club with the Fashion Parade and Volunteer Expo bot of which were very successful. Apparently the Fashion Parade raised approximately $7K which is incredible.
The survey on your opinion on Regionalization has taken longer than expected to prepare and I finally resorted to contacting one of my amazing staff, Josphat, to design it. I have circulated the survey but have not had a great response 4 out of 35 so it would be great if you could do it. Just give me a ring if it’s a problem and we could run through the questions together on the phone and I can record it. There are only 13 questions.
We welcomed Lola and Donna tonight as well as Gareth. We are hopeful that they will continue to be involved with us in some capacity in the future. Lola mentioned she has lots of skill at scone making amongst other things.
Apologies from George and Brooke (thinking of you both), David Brown and Graeme Ward as well as Anne and Andrew Body. The DG will be visiting on November the 14th. This will mean an adjustment to the program. We discussed ideas for the RSL night and thought that we could just have it on the night the DG visits as an acknowledgement of Remembrance Day. I hope this is all right for everyone – I think it would be good to have a talk again from the RSL at a later stage and Kelly will contact them for ideas.
Chris Stebbing updated us on the Ryder Program and they are now looking to run it in February. Also there is / was a pick up of books on Thursday am.
Anne Adams advised us that she is going west before the garden show and may need others to step up. Contact Anne if you can help. Judy is captain of the raffle, Captain of the food, Tony Austin Captain of Resource Management excluding the roster which I believe Anne is doing. Keep telling all your friends about this event.
The Rotary property has been picked up from the Warrnambool Football Netball Club. Thanks to Anne Adams, Tony Austin, Judy Ross, Alan Bowes and backup in the wings but not needed Kelly Curran, Greg Lee, Trevor Blackley and Janet Blackley.
