Anne's Message

We welcomed friend of Rotary Philip Ross to our meeting and our guest speakers, audiologist Tim Rayner and Kyle Moir. What an interesting talk they gave on the latest technology available, the breadth of their practice in the region and the importance of hearing tests especially for children.

We had apologies from club members Ron Bishop, Ian Sharman, Jim Hanrahan, Rachel Furnell, Ann Donaldson, Chris Stebbing, Sharon Kenny, Brooke Jenson and Janet Blackey.
I think the party season has hit us.

Thank you to everyone who helped run the gates at the rodeo. It was a big effort, We raised $2200.

We were saddened at the end of the meeting to get a message that Keith Mcleod's son John had passed away our thoughts are with our dear friend Keith.

Next week out guest speaker is physiotherapist Eloise Sampson

Ian Cairns
Last Wednesday 30/11, about 30-35 Rotarians from all 4 clubs helped with tree planting, mulching etc in the new Lake Pertobe playground.
The area we worked on will include a monument and plaque recognising 100 years of Rotary and the contribution of the 4 clubs to the area.

ABC radio will be doing a live broadcast of their Jeremy Lee breakfast program this Friday 9th from 6.30-9.00am.
It will also include several other activities and support participants including a choir.
The 4 clubs were considering assisting with a breakfast BBQ but it has been decided that the official opening later is more important.
Members are encouraged to attend the official opening this Friday 9th at 3.30pm.
It is shaping up to be a big event with other clubs also intending to be well represented, along with council reps and local media.

Thanks and regards Ian
