President's Message

Tuesday night we had Jamila Rushton as our quest speaker for the night. Jamila was applying for the 2026 Peace Fellowship and has successfully summited and now she has to wait. Jamila said if she was successful, she will begin a student master’s program, and this will start in August. She has put an application in Sweden
as her first preference and Tokyo as her second preference on where she wants to study, Jamila spoke about her work and her campaign to abolish nuclear weapons. We wish Jamila all the very best with her Peace Fellow Application and she will let us know how it goes.

I have circulated an email in regard to drought and relief for our farmers and potentially starting a project or fundraising opportunity and if you have any ideas or would like to part of this committee, please come along. I will be there at 5.15pm.

The book sale was on last weekend and was very successful raising $7,181.65 for our club. A massive thank you to Debbie Furguson for all your hard work and to all members who helped out over the weekend, it was a fantastic effort.

Reports for the Changeover Annual Report
Rotarians I have been tasked with getting reports together for our Changeover annual
report. The Changeover being 24 June.
The following is a list of office bearer’s, service areas, activities and the people who
“champion” them.
There may be others that I have missed. If so please let me know.
If you are an office bearer, or “responsible” for a project, fund raiser or activity can you
provide an overview suitable to be included in the annual report please.
To facilitate the compilation of the report easier and for consistency of appearance
please use the Arial Font at font size 11 point and do not include any complex formatting.
Where appropriate please provide one or a small number of images in .jpg format.
These will greatly enhance the appearance of your report.
To have the report ready for the Changeover I need everything finalised, at the latest, 6
June (approximately 2 weeks prior). I will also send reminders prior to that.
