Thaks to everyone that attended our meeting last week. It was good to catch up with everyone and Judith’s debut as Seargent was a tremendous success.
Neville put to the meeting a request for catering at the Hill Climb on the 7th 8th & 9th of November, after discussion with members it was agreed to commit to this catering event.
Denis Golding then presented a Gavel to the club that was been made for PDG Bob Furner and was donated back to the club after his passing by his wife Libby. This was graciously received and Judith put it to good use later in the meeting trying to get Brian's attention!
Matthew then gave us an update on Party in the Park and advised that the council will now clean our float and put it over the pit prior to the parade, which is a real win.
On Tuesday we can look forward to a presentation from Neville Gilbertson, and the following week we are off to UniSA for a presentation about the Royal Flying Dr Service.

Support my challenge to end pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.
Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.
But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.

This presentation will look at the introduction of telehealth services in rural areas as a means of overcoming barriers to healthcare.
Dr Gladman graduated from Flinders University. Since graduation, he worked in Tamworth and Broken Hill. In Broken Hill, he worked with the RFDS and the local hospital.
Prior to studying medicine, Dr Gladman worked in research and spent time in the Army.
He is a Senior Lecturer with Adelaide University Rural Clinic School and a committee member with the Australian Medical Council. He is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner and accredited with Australian Motorsport.
The local RFDS group have been asked to run a donation stand on the night. Please bring some loose change for a worthy cause.
