I can also confirm that we have submitted a grant application to the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR). The application was informed by discussions with the Southern Limestone Coast Council. Mayor Boston proposed the idea to Frank during fellowship at our rollover dinner. Further exploration with the Works and Infrastructure Team in alignment with Council's annual business plan gave us a scope. We will keep you informed with any project progress.
We are also investigating speaker options for upcoming meetings. keep an eye on future bulletins for scheduling.

Beer - the conversation starter
The Evanston Nouveau Rotary Club partnered with Sketchbook Brewing Company to create Purple Pinkie — a witbier brewed with coriander and pomegranate juice, inspired by ingredients from Pakistan and Afghanistan, where polio eradication work continues today.
The beer's name and label reference the purple ink used to mark immunized children during vaccination campaigns. This is what creative community partnerships look like in action: local brewery, local artist, local Rotary club, global impact.

Shimmering Worlds invites you to experience the often-overlooked lifeblood of regional community life, where shared activities bring differing groups of people together in collective visions of care, craft and memory.
Using documentary, digital collage, and handmade props, this moving image work transforms the creations and ideas that are produced or cared for by local groups across the Yorke Peninsula. Together the works form a dreamlike tableau that reveals the contributions of those that sign up to collective pursuits.
For science week we are shinning a light on fellow Rotarian Samantha Cristoforetti who took the guest speaker bar to new heights!
Dozens of members of the Rotary Club of Köln am Rhein (Cologne, Germany)
gather on a pleasant Monday evening at one of the famous Kranhäus office buildings, architectural gems shaped like upside down L’s over the Rhine River with the towers of Cologne Cathedral visible in the distance. The night’s speaker, an out-of-this-world member of the club, is scheduled to give the Rotarians a virtual tour of her workplace. The Wi-Fi connection on her end is finicky, and they wait eagerly.
At last, she appears, and that’s when this meeting takes a decidedly different turn. Because Samantha Cristoforetti, an astronaut aboard the International Space Station, is floating.
