Beckley Park Tree PlantingOn a very windy Sunday between Lockdown 5 and Lockdown 6 in Victoria, the Rotary Clubs of Corio Bay and Geelong Central planted 100 trees at Beckley Park, Geelong, to commemorate 100 years of Rotary in Australia. Friends and families helped out to plant lilly pillies, red bottlebrushes and banksia trees. Seen here is Travis Beckley and his son, Max. Travis' grandfather, Ray Beckley, whose name is bestowed on Beckley Park was a Member of Corio Bay Rotary. Ray's son. Gary, is a current member of our Club. |

End PolioEnd Polio Rotary, along with our partners, has reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. We are close to eradicating polio, but we need your help. Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, here are some ways to make a global impact and protect children against polio forever. Rotarians have helped immunise more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. For as little as $0.60, a child can be protected against this crippling disease for life. |

Service in actionTwo of the most exciting words in Rotary At a regional meeting in the U.S., Rotary leaders posed a simple question: What if? Those two words propelled them into a $109,000 Rotary global grant project for a Rotary Family Health Day, to ensure thousands of men, women, and children in Ghana receive vital health services. |

How a simple school project became a global grant
U.S. Rotary members in Maine wanted to improve schools in Bikaner, India. At first, they simply donated school desks. But working with local Rotary members, they created a global grant project to meet the community’s most urgent needs: better training for teachers and giving unschooled children a chance at education. |
