  • Our club was successful in obtaining a grant through RAWCS - Feminine Hygiene Program.
  • Say No to Family & Domestic Violence: Posters are being distributed around the town for display.
  • New banners "10 Reasons to join Rotary" have arrived. They will be stored in our Show Shed while not being displayed around the businesses in town.
  • Bunnings BBQ on Saturday 31st August 2024 was busy with profit approximately $913.00. Thank you to all members who assisted on the day.
  • Our Club has purchased a mobile phone the number is:0439 977 844

Colac P & A Society Meeting - Monday 19 August 2024
Paul Walsh attended. The following information was discussed at the meeting.
 
Here is a list of what's happening at the grounds for the rest of the year, as we are getting busier with bookings, so that groups can plan accordingly. 
 
Can groups also let me know if they have an activities planned for any dates just so I know not to take bookings or can display on website and socials.

Share the Dignity
Thanks to our local community over 300 products were donated into the pink boxes at Woolworths and Blooms the Chemist.
What an amazing effort. Share the Dignity is very grateful for all the donations received.
They will be distributed to local welfare agencies this week.
They will been given to women doing it tough and to help end Period poverty.
Thankyou to our members and anyone who donated for their continued
support of Share The Dignity's campaigns.

  • 3rd September: Board Meeting
  • 10th September: District Governor Lesley Shedden visit - Indian Cuisine night. New member Beth Wilson will be initiated into the club.
  • 17th September: Footy Tipping competition winners will be announced at our Footy Fever Night.  Partners/Guests welcome. We will be at Colac Neighbourhood House tonight. Please let Amanda know if attending.
  • 24th September: No meeting
  • 1st October: Board meeting
  • 8th October: Guest speaker, Sara Stewart - Outbound Youth Exchange Student.
  • 12-13 October: Let's Talk Colac presents Walk the Walk Festival at the Colac Showgrounds.  This is a 24-hour team relay around the Showgrounds oval in support of Mental Health.  Looking for members to volunteer some time during this period. Click here for more information.   • 15th October: No meeting
  • 20th October: Otway Harvest Trail Festival. We will be catering at our Show Shed from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Roster attached. More volunteers are needed.
  • 22nd October: Defying the Drift participants to speak about their experience.
  • 29th October: Annual General Meeting.
  • 5 December: The Colac Leaders of Volunteers Network Volunteer Expo 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Copacc. This is an event for Not-for-Profit organisations, Volunteer-Involving Organisations and Community Groups. We will be having an informational stall at the Expo. Please let Amanda know if able to assist.

Finals are starting this week. The last 4 rounds have now finished after being in lockdown. Looking forward to hearing the results at our Footy Finals Night at Colac Neighbourhood House on Tuesday 17th September 2024.  Please note change of date.

Roster for 10 and 17 September
For apologies and guest, Amanda is required to email the
Colac Central Hotel by 1pm Sunday with the number of meals required for the Tuesday meeting.
 
There is then a follow-up email 12pm Tuesday, if the number has changed. Please keep this in mind if you are going to be apology or plan on bringing a guest. If bringing a guest, let Amanda know if they have any dietary requirements.
 
Also, if you are rostered on to perform a role during the meeting please find a replacement prior to lodging your apology.
