Guest Speaker - Sara Stewart, Outbound Youth Exchange Student
This week our guest speaker was Sara Stewart, Outbound Youth Exchange Student.
Sara lives at home in Elliminyt with her parents David and Tanya and her brother Alex. Her pet is a Labradoodle named Koko Black.
Sara attends school at Trinity College in Colac.
Sara gave a presentation about some of the popular attractions in Colac, Victoria and National including the Colac Lake, Memorial Square, Red Rock and many others.
Sara also highlighted some of the larger businesses in Colac such as ALC, AKD, Bulla and Colac Area Health.
Sara has had the thought of travelling the world since she was around 8-9 years old. This was when she heard about the Youth Exchange program from a friend of her mother. She applied in September 2023 by completing a form on the internet. Sara has been attending several selection meetings at Ballarat and Beaufort with one more to go.
Sara will be going to Denmark for the Rotary Youth Exchange Program next year.
We cannot wait to hear the stories of her travels upon her return to Australia in the future.
