Club Business

  • Bunnings Colac have donated a 4 Burner BBQ to our Club for our Show Shed as part of their Community Involvement program.
  • We have been approved to take part in the Rotary Pacific Fit for Purpose program. Click here for information on the program. Sue will be our club delegate and will attend the Workshop in Sydney on 12-13 October 2024. We are needing a backup delegate. Please let Amanda know if you are interested.
  • Say No to Family & Domestic Violence: Posters are being distributed around the town for display.
  • Invoices for membership fees have been forwarded to all members for 2024/25 year.

  • 25th August: South West RCG (Rotary Community Group). Warrnambool RSL, 11am - 3pm - Meeting to discuss collaborating with other clubs in our area to develop some larger projects together. Maurie attending. Please let Amanda know if you are available to attend.
  • 26th August: Eat Up Sandwich Making, 6:30pm at Foodshare, Bath Street. Amanda and her granddaughter and Beth Wilson will be attending. Please let Amanda know if you are available to attend.
  • 27th August: Guest speaker, Michael Harrison - My life in Taxis. Indian Cuisine night. Partners/Guests welcome.  Please let Amanda know if attending.
  • 28th August: BBQ Catering for Acciona Tree Planting day offering BBQ, Salads and Slices located near the playground at the Botanic Gardens. Please let Amanda know if you are available to attend.
  • 31st August: Bunnings BBQ.  Please get in touch with Amanda on 0447 650 826 if you can spare a few hours to support your local community. Still need helpers on both shifts. Roster attached.

  • 10th September: District Governor Lesley Shedden visit
  • 17th September: No meeting
  • 24th September: Footy Tipping competition winners will be announced at our Footy Fever Night.  Partners/Guests welcome. Please let Amanda know if attending.
  • 1st October: Board meeting
  • 8th October: Guest speaker, Sara Stewart - Outbound Youth Exchange Student.
  • 12-13 October: Let's Talk Colac presents Walk the Walk Festival at the Colac Showgrounds.  This is a 24-hour team relay around the Showgrounds oval in support of Mental Health.  Looking for members to volunteer some time during this period. Click here for more information. Please let Amanda know if you are interested.
  • 15th October: No meeting
  • 20th October: Otway Harvest Trail Festival. We will be catering at our Show Shed from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Roster attached. More volunteers are needed.
  • 22nd October: Defying the Drift participants to speak about their experience.
  • 29th October: Annual General Meeting.
  • 5 December: The Colac Leaders of Volunteers Network Volunteer Expo 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Copacc. This is an event for Not-for-Profit organisations, Volunteer-Involving Organisations and Community Groups. We will be having an informational stall at the Expo. Please let Amanda know if able to assist.

Share the Dignity
Throughout August our biannual Dignity Drive is collecting period products and incontinence aids in the pink boxes near the entrance of our local Woolworths and Blooms the Chemist Colac.
Our Members will collect the period products and they will be distributed at the end of the month to local charities and organisations supporting our most vulnerable community members.

Roster for 27th August 2024
For apologies and guest, Amanda is required to email the
Colac Central Hotel by 1pm Sunday with the number of meals required for the Tuesday meeting.
 
There is then a follow-up email 12pm Tuesday, if the number has changed. Please keep this in mind if you are going to be apology or plan on bringing a guest. If bringing a guest, let Amanda know if they have any dietary requirements.
 
Also, if you are rostered on to perform a role during the meeting please find a replacement prior to lodging your apology.
