Share The Dignity:
All the products have been delivered to - Goals - St. Joseph's Learning Centre - Meli, South West Individual Support and Salvation Army. A great response from our community - Total 314.
Certificates of Appreciation have been given to Blooms The Chemist and Woolworths for their support of our August Campaign.
Janice King from Nutrimetics has spoken about their collaboration with Share The Dignity. During October if you buy a $30 pack of Nutrimetics products (worth over $100) Nutrimetics will give the pack directly to Share The Dignity to donate to those in need. I will bring the order forms with me on Tuesday.

Commencing in November already have donations of handbags and products for the bags. Have picked up handbags (21) from Camperdown College. They have since rung me to say that there are 7 more to donate.
So No to Family Violence: Posters delivered to: Blooms The Chemist, Centrelink, Alvie Football Clubs, Salvations Army Community Centre, Austral Hotel, Gathering Place, Railway Stations, Studio 57, Woolworths (staff toilets), Coles (staff toilets), Neighbourhood House, RS, Central Hotel and IGA.
When logging onto any sites for Rotary please speak to Amanda to get the generic password which is to be used.
Monday 14 October 2024 at 1pm: Clean up day for the Showgrounds shed. A BBQ will take place following the clean up so we can test the bbqs. Please let Amanda know if you are available to assist with the clean up.

Colac P & A Society Meeting - Monday 19 August 2024
Paul Walsh attended. The following information was discussed at the meeting.
Here is a list of what's happening at the grounds for the rest of the year, as we are getting busier with bookings, so that groups can plan accordingly.
Can groups also let me know if they have an activities planned for any dates just so I know not to take bookings or can display on website and socials.
Takings for the day after expenses was $708.00. Thank you to all members.

1st October: Board meeting
7th October: Eat Up Sandwich Making - 10 Bath Street, Colac 6:30 start. Please let Amanda or Lyn know if you can attend.
8th October: Guest speaker, Sara Stewart - Outbound Youth Exchange Student.
8th October:Hat Day in October. A key part of Rotary's national "Lift the Lid on Mental Illness" campaign as an initiative to raise awareness and much-needed funds for mental health research. We ask members to wear a hat and donate to this cause at this meeting.
13 October: Bunnings BBQ. Please let Amanda know if you are able to assist.
15th October: No meeting
20th October: Otway Harvest Trail Festival. We will be catering at our Show Shed from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Roster is now completed.
22nd October: Defying the Drift participants to speak about their experience.
29th October: Annual General Meeting.
29th October: Fit for Purpose - update from Sue Schram
5th November: No meeting - Melbourne Cup Day - Tickets now on sale.
12th November: Guest Speaker - Andrew Gardiner, Vic Rail
19th November: No meeting
26th November: Guest Speaker - Matthew Murray Audiologist
3rd December: Board Meeting
5th December: The Colac Leaders of Volunteers Network Volunteer Expo 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Copacc. This is an event for Not-for-Profit organisations, Volunteer-Involving Organisations and Community Groups. We will be having an informational stall at the Expo. Please let Amanda know if able to assist.
10th December: Guest Speaker - Read the Play - Mental Health, Michelle Gerdts
17th December: Christmas Dinner - TBA
14th January 2025: Knitted Knockers, Cheryl Webster guest speaker. We are inviting partners and guests to this night. Please let Amanda know if you have someone attending.

Roster for 8th and 22nd October 2024
For apologies and guest, Amanda is required to email the
Colac Central Hotel by 1pm Sunday with the number of meals required for the Tuesday meeting.
There is then a follow-up email 12pm Tuesday, if the number has changed. Please keep this in mind if you are going to be apology or plan on bringing a guest. If bringing a guest, let Amanda know if they have any dietary requirements.
Also, if you are rostered on to perform a role during the meeting please find a replacement prior to lodging your apology.
