Vincent Nolan
Vincent J. Nolan was president of the Derby‐Shelton Rotary Club in 1944‐1945. A native of Derby and son of the Chief of Police, he was born on January 27, 1898 and attended local schools while graduating from Derby High School in the class of 1917. He was the popular and respected Town clerk for the City of Derby after working as a foreman for the Bassett Metal Goods Company.
He also served as the auditor for the City from 1926‐1930 and was also a Grand Knight for the Paugassett Council, Knights of Columbus. He also held the position of Exalted Ruler of the Derby Lodge of Elks. He was married to Edna Cote of Shelton and had sons John J. and Robert L. Nolan.
