Jack Walsh

Jack Walsh was President of the Club in 1993-1994. A life-long resident of Derby, he taught in schools in Derby and Shelton and was the successful boys basketball coach at Shelton High School for a decade before becoming President and C.E.O. of Valley United Way, a position he held for 28 years until his retirement in 2016. He has been active in a variety of roles in the community including chairing the Parks & Recreation Commission, Greenway Committee and Water Pollution Control Authority for the City of Derby. 

He has also served as the board chair for the Derby Neck Library and the Derby Historical Society. His efforts have been recognized with numerous community service awards including the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce's Gold and Platinum Awards and the Valley's oldest and most prestigious service award, Valley United Way's Charles H. Flynn Humanitarian Award.
