Henry Gazer
Henry “Hank” Gazer, a true gentleman and person of integrity, and devoted husband of Sophie Morosko Gazer, was born on October 1, 1917 in Derby and was a lifelong Shelton resident. He achieved an astonishing 50 years perfect attendance as a member of the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club where he presided as President in Rotary Year 1963-1964, was a Paul Harris Fellow recipient, established and served as auctioneer for the annual Rotary auctions for thirty years. He attended local schools and received his real estate license from Quinnipiac College. His career spanned several decades in real estate development and the amusement entertainment businesses and served as an elected alderman for the City of Shelton.
Henry celebrated every day by living “the good life” and attested to this by claiming to be “Not bad for an old GeezerGazer”. Hank passed away peacefully at his home in Huntington Center in Shelton on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the age of 91.
