Frank Madar

Francis Joseph Madar, served as President of the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club during 1997-1998. He was born in Bridgeport on September 3, 1933, son of the Michael and Anna Kochiss Madar. He was married for 47 years to Charlotte Lutinksi. Frank graduated cum laude from Fairfield Prep and then graduated cum laude from Fairfield University. He served his country with the U.S. Army (1955-1958) and then worked in accounting for Columbia Records in Bridgeport. 

He went on to work in accounting for Picker Xray, was treasury manager for Clairol, and retired from financial management for Bristol Myers Squibb. He also served as Treasurer for Clairol Credit Union. He was a member of the American Legion Sutter-Terlizzi Post 16, was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Bernardo Council and was a member of the St. Lawrence Council, and was very active in the Shelton Republican Town Committee. He passed away in Shelton on June 11, 2006 at the age of 72.
