Edward Handi

Edward Handi was President of the derby‐Shelton Rotary Club in 1976‐1977. He worked in  management at Charlton Press in Derby which was a noted comic book producer. He was also a  highly‐respected sports official working many area high school games.  The was also a big supporter of Scouting and served as the volunteer President of Explorer Post  33 in Derby. He was also active in government as served as the Democratic Registrar of Voters  in the city. 

Within Rotary, he was very active with the scholarship program and also heavily involved in putting on the annual Thanksgiving Football Luncheon. He passed away on Dec. 31, 2004. In recognition of his life and Club achievements, the Club presents one of its annual scholarships to a graduate of either Derby or Shelton High School in Ed's name.
