Drew Scott

Drew Scott served as President of the Derby‐Shelton Rotary Club for Rotary year 2015 ‐ 2016.  He is a  lifelong Shelton resident, born there on February 2nd, 1979.  After graduating from Shelton High School  in 1997, he earned a B.S. in International Business Management from the University of Vermont with a  minor in Spanish Language.  

While at UVM, he was the captain of their varsity Division I Gymnastics  team and competed three years at the Collegiate Gymnastics National Championships.  Drew is a third generation Rotary President, having followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Robert  Scott, President of Stratford, CT 1968; and father Mark Scott, President of Stratford, CT 1983.  Similarly,  he is the third generation owner, along with his brother Bart Scott, of Scott Insurance located in Main  Street in Stratford since 1949. 

Drew is active with Rotary International, working on continuing projects with partner clubs in Cofradia  De Suchitlan, Mexico and Chapala, Mexico.  He is an avid skier, musician and history buff.  Along with his wife Angela and daughter Joni, Drew hopes  one day to have skied in every month of the year across 5 different continents!
