Arlene Greco

Arlene S. Cota Greco originally joined rotary in 2005 and served as the President of the Rotary Club of  Derby‐Shelton in 2016‐17.  She serves on the club’s Board of Directors as the Membership Chair for  2018‐19.  Arlene initiated the club’s participation in a global grant, the Nambale Magnet School Water &  Sanitation Project which was approved in July 2018 to move forward.  The grant will fund the creation of  an eco‐friendly water, sanitation, bio‐fuel, food producing gardens, livestock system; to provide a  sustainable, environmentally responsible solution, while conserving the available natural resources at  the Nambale Magnet School.   Arlene is a Naugatuck Valley native with over 30 years of experience within the non‐profit sector.  

Arlene’s expertise and experience is in Development, fundraising and grant writing; serving as a Director  of Development since 2004; currently, at United Methodist Homes in Shelton where she serves on the  organization’s Leadership Council.  Arlene volunteers with the family relations team of Treasured Time, a non‐profit organization that helps  to create memories for families that have a parent experiencing a life‐threatening illness.  Since she  began volunteering with Treasured Time in 2014, she has worked with the Treasured Time team to  create memories for over 20 families. 

Arlene has also volunteered serving meals with Master’s Table Community Meals and as a consultant  with Board development and strategic planning.  She attends Living Springs Christian Fellowship (LSCF) in Seymour where she is a member of the music  ministry.    Arlene is married to Pastor Thomas Greco III.  She has three children and six grandchildren.
