At the Nov. 23 rd Tony Davidson recognized Spence Tucker as an honorary member. Spence has served BEL Rotary for 31 years and due to health issues is not able to continue as an active member.

In many ways Spence was the “workhorse” of the club. If it needed to be set up, built, torn down or fixed, Spence was there to make sure it happened. For many years he was the “guy” with the chain saw, covered in ice and snow, cutting the hole in readiness for the jumpers at the polar plunge.

Spence served as club president and was actively involved in all club work. With his quick smile and warm way, Spence always made people feel welcome at the club. In recognition of his years of service Spence was presented with an “Honorary Member” pin and his Paul Harris Fellow +3.
