Painting Pinkies Purple for World Immunization Week

Pictured here with Club President, Keith Tatton (R) the Rotary Club of Cumberland Centennial is promoting World Immunization Week April 24-30 by painting their pinkies purple.  In countries where polio is a threat children's pinkie fingers are marked with purple ink after they are immunized. This helps health workers know which children have been protected.  Club Members "on hand" to paint their pinkies were standing left to right Debbie Lemire, John Jones, John Challender, Ellen Klassen, Kathy Stevens, Judythe McQuillan, Keith Tatton.  Seated left to right Barb Giroday, Leslie Baird, Dave Stevens, Margaret Neal.
