Village of Cumberland and Rotarians Partner to Refurbish Playground

Leslie Baird, Mayor of the Village of Cumberland and key members of the Village staff met with Cumberland Rotarians on Tuesday to discuss details of a planned renovation of the Village Park Playground.

The equipment currently installed has reached the end of its useful life and will be replaced by new structures. The site will become universally accessible. The final cost of the project is awaiting proposals from suppliers so is not available at press time. Cumberland Rotary has committed to partnering with the Village using funds raised in the community through its various fundraising efforts. The club’s major fundraiser in 2013, the Extravaganza Italiana, will occur on Saturday, 5 October.
