President Liz Phillipson awarded Deb Nolan the prestigious Club Service Award at our Annual In House Auction and dinner. The citation commends the service carried out by an individual Rotarian in the club. Deb is a founding member of Rotary Club of Cumberland Centennial. She has been a valuable member of the committee that writes a summary of the weekly programs, has served as a club greeter, a member of the board of directors, and is a past president. Deb has constantly made her contribution to our club efforts and through her professional and organization skills. Together with other clubs in the valley, she spearheaded the “Basic for Babies” event, forged relationships with the other rotary clubs in our district, and made a significant contribution to our playground project in the village. Deb was involved in the organization of the El Tuito project in Mexico, and together with members of our club, and those from Strathcona Sunrise, drove down to Mexico to deliver vehicles and supplies to the people of El Tuito, She continues to provide our club and community with many international service opportunities. She has also hosted exchange students both long and short term. Congratulations Deb!
