Ron Quilter - Adventurer & Humanitarian
Our speaker for our February 5th meeting was Ron Quilter. Ron made a presentation about HER International. The Mission of HER International is to empower women and girls through education. Their Mandate is to provide for the advancement of education and educational opportunities for people living in poverty in Canada and abroad, by increasing relevant knowledge, abilities and life skills of individuals and family members, with a focus on helping girls and women when doing so. Ron spoke about recent builds he has been on in Nepal and local plans to develop a School In A Box. Ron also gave us a pictorial account of his mountain climbing excursions while in Nepal.
