Extravaganza Italiana 2013

Our club will hold its Ninth Annual Extravaganza Italiana Dinner Auction, at the Cumberland Recreation Centre on Saturday, October 5, 2013. This event is our major fundraiser for 2013 – 2014. During our eight years of service to the community, businesses and individuals have generously donated goods and services for our auction.

 

Our club has grown to become a positive, well-recognized and respected force for good in the local and world communities. Since our Charter in June 2005 we have raised sufficient funds through our dinner auctions to provide a thermal imaging camera for the Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department; ten automated, electronic defibrillators to organizations in the Comox Valley; provided Cumberland with its first two transit shelters; donated $30,000 to the Comox Valley Hospice Society Building Fund; numerous local and International projects. Our major community project last year and this coming year will be to continue to raise funds for a new playground in the Village of Cumberland to replace the one in the Village Park. Our aim is to make the new playground one that is universally accessible to its users. We are well on our way to making this a reality and with a successful fundraising year, we will reach our goal.
