MARK R. ISFELD SECONDARY INTERACT CLUB ASSISTS CUMBERLAND CENTENNIAL ROTARIANS IN END POLIO NOW EVENT AT THE WAVERLEY HOTEL IN CUMBERLAND.

Cumberland Rotarians held a fundraiser on October 24 at the Waverly Hotel in Cumberland.  To bring attention to this event the End Polio Now symbol was projected onto the historic ILO-ILO building in Cumberland directly across the street from the Waverley Hotel. The first shift of Interact Volunteers from Mark R. Isfeld Secondary gave away hot chocolate for a donation on the street in front of the Waverly to help raise funds and hand out information about the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

The late shift of Interact Volunteers from Mark R. Isfeld Secondary pictured here braved the declining temperatures to carry on the hot chocolate distribution to passers by and collect the very generous donations!

Project organizer Dr. Margaret Keresztesi makes the rounds of the Waverley with a very colourful donation sock.  Dr. Margaret has a special interest in Polio Eradication as she is a polio survivor herself.
