Chris and Kelsey
We had the pleasure of welcoming into the Rotary Club of Cumberland Centennial, Chris Becir, a Cumberland Dentist, pictured here with his wife Kelsey. Chris was inducted by Caroline Bradfield. Caroline reminded us that the object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and in particular to encourage and foster:
  • the development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  • high ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations and the dignifying by each Rotarians of heir occupation as an opportunity to serve society
  • the application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to their personal, business and community life;
  •  the advancement of International understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
Caroline charged Chris to judge himself by the Rotary 4 Way Test
Of the things he thinks, says or does:
  • First, is it the truth;
  • Second, is it fair to all concerned;
  • Third, will it build goodwill and better friendships and
  • Fourth, will it be beneficial to all concerned
