Adventures in Citizenship
Our guest speakers on Tuesday August 5th were Heather Wilson, Matt Ehrler
and Quinna Laver who participated in the Adventures in
Citizenship programme that has been conceived and hosted by
the Rotary Club of Ottawa for some 60 years. Heather was
sponsored by the RC of Courtenay, Matt by our club and Quinna
by the RC of Comox. The three decided to tell their sponsoring
clubs about their adventure together. Using a PowerPoint show,
the three told highlighted their experiences, making new friends
from among the 200 students from every province and territory
of Canada. A very worthwhile program indeed.
