THE COPPELL ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Academic Year 2024-2025 REQUIREMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS
The Coppell Rotary Club is part of Rotary International. The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote high ethical standards, and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. As part of our ongoing commitment to support youth leadership in our community, we are offering five $1,500.00 scholarships to deserving individuals.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
- The scholarship recipient must be planning to enroll at a post-high school educational institution following their high school graduation. This includes community colleges, vocational programs or a 4-year degree plan.
- Student must be a Coppell Senior resident in good standing their high school.
*Coppell High Senior Residents attending other area high schools are eligible to apply as well.
- Student must have a GPA of 2.0 or above
- Completion of a planned program must result in a degree or certification. The award will be made in two payments, fall and spring, upon proof of actual enrollment. Payment will be made to the student.
- The criteria upon which the award will be based are below. Evaluation will be based upon application forms, interview and continued enrollment:
- Quality of educational plans
- Student’s commitment to the plan
- Financial need
- Progress toward defined goals
- Commitment to community service and volunteerism
Important Scholarship Information
- To be considered, you must meet the eligibility requirements above, submit the information requested under Application Procedures and answer all of the questions on the application.
- Please feel free to type your responses to the questions on a separate sheet of paper if you need more room.
Application Procedures:
- Submit an official application form to the email address below
- Submit with your high school’s Common application
- Include a transcript and a copy of the current class schedule.
- Include 1 or more reference letters from any current or previous teacher/coach, other school staff member, community leader, church/religious leader, or workplace supervisor/manager. (Non-family member)
- Candidates under final consideration will be required to appear for an interview.
- *Please note: If you are selected, you will be required to appear in person or virtually for a Rotary Meeting to share your post high school education plans, before fund disbursement. Please prepare a 5-10 minute presentation to share during our monthly meeting. More details for this requirement will be provided after scholarship selections are made.
