Our presentation last week was John D. Rockefeller, Jr. by way of Chautauqua. Mr. Rockefeller was doing damage control due to the Ludlow Massacre in the area of Trinidad, Colorado. The powerful Rockefeller family owned Colorado Fuel and Iron Company and there was a strike of employees in Pueblo, Colorado.
JD told us he did not have interest in expanding his family’s empire but wanted to help people with his wealth.
JD Rockefeller was played by Hayden Hein. He just graduated from Greeley Central High School and plans to attend St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD.
