Pork and Pints for Polio

The Barrie Rotaract and Kempenfelt Rotary Clubs are teaming up on World Polio Day, Thursday October 24th, at The Lion’s Gate Banquet Centre for Pork and Pints for Polio! This year you will enjoy a Craft Beer Festival with your beans and pulled pork sandwich !! We will have games, prizes a DJ and much more.
Polio is an infectious disease, common in children, that can lead to the permanent paralysis of various body parts and can ultimately cause death by immobilizing the patient's breathing muscles. No cure exists for this disease, but we can together raise money for vaccinations to fully eradicate it.
