In 2016, 132 public toilets were completed and ready for community use in India’s Odisha state. Minneapolis University Rotary Club member Jugal Agarwal led the effort to make these facilities a reality, with the assistance of the Indian Rotary Club of Bhadrak and a global grant from Rotary International. The facilities serve an important public health need, as only 15% of households in this area have access to toilets. Jugal is committed to working through Rotary to improve the health and education of his native India.
