President Hu Beaver called the meeting to order at 12:15pm. The meeting was held at the Kwataqnuk Resort. Gayle Siemers led us in song. Steve Bauer gave the invocation.
Announcements are as follows:
Polson Rotarians are encouraged to make a donation to the local food bank. Town Pump will match the club and member donations. Two anonymous donors have each pledged an additional $500 each.

Ron Bone won the drawing and gave the money to the food bank.
Gayle Siemers introduced his guest, Kyle Roberts, Polson city planner.
Salvation Army Kettle bell ringers are being sought for Saturday, December 20 from 10am-6pm at Super One Foods.
The Polson Rotary Christmas party is Tuesday, December 3, 2019 starting at the Perfect Shot Tavern and moving to Blodgett Creamery. If you haven’t signed up at meeting, you can on the Events button on the website or in this bulletin..
Dave Fansher gave a report on the club’s literacy program.
Mac Swan introduced our guest speaker, Flathead Lake International Cinemafest executive director David King. David said this year’s event will be January 24-26, 2020 at the Showboat Theatre. An opening party on Friday, January 24, an evening party on Saturday, January 25 and the awards party on the 26th will be held in yet to be determined downtown Polson locations. He said the average attendance to a screening is 30-40 people with some attracting up to 100 viewers. He said in 2019 films from 15 different countries were shown and in 2020 that number will be 18. David said there are thousands of film festivals in the United States and throughout the world. He mentioned that FLIC is growing in reputation and quality among film makers and attendees.
David thanked Polson Rotary for sponsoring the breakfast burritos given to children attending the free children’s movie screening Saturday mornings during FLIC. He promised that notification would be sent home with school children, an oversight in 2019.
