The April 4th Social was held at the Sports Page with 14 in attendance including one potential member, 4 spouses and a cute child. April 11th meeting had 20 in attendance plus 3 representatives from the School District to explain the upcoming levy votes for $49,871,809 needed for building updates to all the schools. There was also a board meeting before the regular meeting where two members were approved. DeeDee Blaney (title insurance) will be returning to the club after an absence of several years and Cameron Milton (golf pro) added as a new member. RYLA, scholarships, highway clean-up and the Signature Project were discussed with $ 2,000 approved as a tentative budget for expenses for the event. Only 13 were in attendance on the 19th with Larry Peltz updating the club on Rotary International projects including PolioPlus, Gobi tree planting, Peace Fellowship, Thailand swim lessons, Bangladesh Roteract projects, Venezulian economic refugees, Rwanda school supplies, Guatemala water projects, India prosethics, Finland Xmas tree recycling for fish habitat, Australian socks, Nepal education, Shelter Box emergency shelters, Ukrainian refugee aid and more. The meeting on the 26th had 31 in attendance including guests and Polson's Outbound Exchange student Iaani heading for Brazil. The program was Rob McDonald and Melissa Schliting to discuss the implentating of the Water Compact. |
