September 10 and 17, 2019 September 10 was the Shadow cruise on Polson Bay, which looked iffy mid-afternoon due to windy conditions, but turned out to pleasant, especially after making it to leeward side of Kings Point, where some ventured to the top deck. 38 members and guests turned out for 2 hour or so cruise enjoying hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while mingling socially. September 17 was back to KwaTaqNuk where Rob/Gayle led us in the song, and the invocation was given by Dave Overcast. Marshall won the 50/50 raffle and donated the proceeds to the now depleted martini fund. Happy bucket contributors were Rob Turner for his soccer coaching successes and Mac Swan for the start on the Mission Valley Live Concert season. Dan Barz gave a report on the Hands Across the Border Rotary Peace Park celebration held last weekend at Waterton attended by Dan & Hu. Birthday talks were given by Janet Mulroy, Joe Blacker and Doug Wold. Rob Turner, substitute justice, stumped the crowd with a question submitted by Rich Forbis. Checks were given to the Signature Project/Chili Cook-off partners--Polson Junior Golf-Cameron Mitchell, Polson Elementary Band-Rich Sawyer, Mission Valley Aquatics-Kris Manley-Samson, Flathead Lakers youth program-Hillary Devlin. Each partner gave a brief report and expressed their sincere gratitude. NEXT WEEK-at the Elks Lodge!
