Lynne Leske and Mike Thibideau completed new member induction at the February meeting to give us a total membership of 22.  Lynne is Director of the Alanson Area Public Library, and Mike is a recent retiree with a career in business logistics.  We are also happy to receive Bill Roney, a new member representing the Eagle Beach Association. We welcomed Chris Hampson as our guest.

 

We need a trophy case!  On Friday, March 14, the Inland Waterway "Alley Dogs" competed in a field of twelve teams to win first prize in the 2025 Sunrise Rotary Bowlapalooza.  Sally Crowley recruited Cory Hannan and Brent Sharpe from Harbor Market, and Randy brought in Carol Vroman from D&W Starbucks. 

 

Trooper Corey Hebner, a 28-year veteran of the Michigan State Police, and Harbor Springs baseball coach, enlightened us about the challenges of drug and alcohol addiction trends in our community.  Corey also presented an exciting new non-profit venture to improve car safety for children.

 

Hoorah for Becky Fettig!  Becky announced that she won $50 in the Rotary Calendar Raffle!

 

The Club Board will meet at 8 AM on Monday, March 24 in the coffee area at Oleson's. 

 

Our next Manna Backpack volunteer day will be on Monday, April 14th at 10 AM.
