Joop Thiessen received Rotary's Service Above Self Award
It is with great sadness that the Rotary Club of Kalispell shares the news of the passing of Joop Thiessen. Joop was a Major Donor and Paul Harris Benefactor. He was a member of this club for 26 years after transferring from the Rotary Club of Nagasaki South when he retired from a distinguished career as an MD and Medical Research Scientist. He was Club President in 2006-2007 and served as Assistant District Governor in 2007-2009. He also led the District Leadership Academy. Joop's Rotary awards include the Rotary Foundation District Service Award, the Rotary Service Above Self Award, Rotarian of the Year, and the Rotary Lifetime Service Award.
