Rotary Basketball is the principal entry-level basketball program in the Flathead Valley. We anticipate between 800 and 1,000 youngsters will participate in the program this year. Please visit our Kalispell Rotary Basketball Website for more information or to register online.

The cost is shown below. Every child receives a shirt, coaches, gyms, good instruction, good company, good sportsmanship, and at least six weeks of basketball.

Girls’ Season Dates and Information

Early Registration (on or before 9/07/2018): $40.00 per child
Regular Registration (after 9/07/2018): $45.00 per child

AFTER 9/14/2018 NO Registrations will be accepted unless space on a team exists and then placement will occur on an as needed basis only.
Children will be contacted by their coach before their first week of practice, the week of September 24th. The games will begin on Thursday October 4th for 6th grade teams and Saturday, October 6th for all grade levels.

3rd and 4th graders have one practice per week, arranged by Coaches as conveniently as possible, and one game per week (Saturdays). The officiating is user friendly, the coaching is fundamental, and the goal is to create an enjoyment for the game.

5th graders get a little more basketball, alternating between one game and one practice one week, and two games (Tuesday evenings and Saturdays) and one practice the alternating week.

6th graders get still more basketball, playing two games per week (Thursday evenings and Saturdays), and one practice per week, and will conclude their session with a double elimination tournament with two officials, a clock, and all the trimmings of big-time basketball.

COACHES: While a number of teams will have returning coaches, we are always looking for new prospects. If you are interested in coaching or have any questions, please indicate on the registration form and provide your e-mail address (Coaches Meeting 9-23-2018).

While the cost of participation in Rotary Basketball is remarkably low, in the situation where a child is truly unable to participate because of financial hardship, scholarships may be available. If your child could not otherwise play, call Brad Cronk (Cell 253-2064), Kim Thomas (890-2326 or cell 212-0428), Kelcy Berry (751-2363 office or 261-8194) or Scott Williams (253-5905) before submitting your registration form.

Because of the large number of participants in the Rotary Basketball program, it is impossible to allow parents to participate in the placement of their children on the teams that may be convenient for them. Placement of children on teams will be based upon long standing Rotary policies and will not be changed after the teams are put together. Late registrations will be accepted only if space exists and placement will be made to teams needing players. Players signing up for Rotary Basketball will be expected to make attendance at their Rotary games and tournament a priority. We regret any problems this may cause.
