Rotarians sold raffletickets downtown for only one hour during the 4th of July Parade to raise funds for the Swan River Trail Bike Path. The prize, a men's Scott Contessa bicycle worth $1300, was donated by Montana Adventure Sports, owned by Renny Johnson. Towards the start of the parade, the Bigfork Rotary float displayed the prize bike while traveling down the parade route as Rotarians hawked tickets in the crowd.  When the lead float reached the end, the winning raffle ticket was drawn.  The number of the winning ticket was immediately relayed to the Rotary chase car at the end of the parade lineup, and that winning number was inscribed upon a big placard.  Dr. Suzette Johnson, visiting from New Jersey, learned she had won the bicycle when the chase car came down the parade route.  Suzette graciously donated the bike back to the club so it could be used to raise money again in the future. Ticket sales for the 1-hour Raffle came to $4375. Wow! $4375 in an hour! It was a very happy 4th of July!
